Operations Supervisor

 

Job Description:

As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for supporting branch managers in their daily operations. This role involves providing guidance and resources to ensure that branches meet their objectives while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.

 

The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills and experience in managing multiple sites. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working closely with colleagues across different locations.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monthly reporting of activities and projects
  • Effective planning for growth within the branches
  • Management of general operations of all branch staff in collaboration with Branch Managers
  • Develop operational budgets by branch and work with management to meet financial targets
  • Identify staff strengths, weaknesses, and development needs across all branches
  • Ensure timely delivery to customers
  • Maximize logistics and yard operations efficiency
  • Maintain delivery costs within budgets and collaborate with branch management
  • Recruitment of driver contractors where viable

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Management
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills across multiple sites
  • Exceptional communication skills
