Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill the role of Water Treatment Operations Specialist.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain water treatment plant equipment, including pumps and motors
  • Perform routine laboratory tests, including chlorine residual tests
  • Maintain and repair equipment, including tanks, pumps, and mechanical screens
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve operational goals

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Active FDEP Class A, B, or C Drinking Water Operator's license
  • Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial equipment
  • Ability to work shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid active Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Class A, Class B, or Class C Drinking Water Operator's license and maintain said license in an active status during the term of employment
  • Must be able to successfully complete an OSHA-compliant forklift operator training course
  • Must be physically capable at all times of properly wearing and utilizing all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

The employee must repetitively perform:

  • Pulling
  • Fine manipulation (ex. writing, wiring)
