About the Role

As a senior DevSecOps professional, you will contribute to building and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure that supports automated testing and deployment.

  • You will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to your team as they perform various activities.
  • Contribute to the automation of software builds and build checkout testing, and informal system integration activities.
  • Automation and maintenance of business processes are key responsibilities.
  • You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health of supporting DevOps infrastructure such as container orchestration, build agents, monitoring tools, and dashboards.
  • Contributing to the administration and maintenance of DevSecOps controlled hosts is also essential.
  • You will implement defined best practices for source control, continuous integration, and release management.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, debug, and resolve build or deployment issues.
  • Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of project management tools.
  • Mentor/guide junior team members in their professional development.

To be successful in this role, you will also have:

  • Significant experience working within an agile framework.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with Software Configuration Management/repository Tools such as GitLab and Nexus.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab, ArgoCD, and Rancher.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
  • Significant grasp of automation tools and scripting to build deployment applications.
  • Knowledge and experience with Containerisation/Orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge and experience with deploying and maintaining Cyber security tooling.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with the use of Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge and experience with API technologies and Web Services like Rest, SOAP, XML/JSON.
  • Desirable skills include Virtualisation platforms such as VMWare vSphere, IBM CLM/ELM tool suite.
