DevOps Engineer (Security)

You'll play a key role in driving innovation and security at scale, influencing architecture decisions and championing a security-first mindset.

  • Maintain CI pipelines, security controls and monitoring solutions for software deployments.
  • Ensure software products are secure, reliable and compliant with client requirements.
  • Leverage experience in virtual environments, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code and security automation.

Key Skills:
  • Building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
  • Container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), artifact repositories (JFrog Artifactory) and container security best practices.
  • Proficient scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Exposure to other Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Linux/Unix systems, networking concepts and security principles.
  • Software development security tooling (SonarQube, Grype, JFrog Xray).
  • Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic tack).
  • The ASD Essential 8 and ISM controls.
  • Database administration (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB).
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Eligibility

Australian Citizens eligible to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
