Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mining Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical services and estimating functions across multiple mining projects.

About the Role:

  • This is a leadership position that requires strategic thinking, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • You will drive productivity initiatives, mentor technical teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop commercially sound solutions.
  • Your expertise in mine modelling, feasibility studies, and operational risk review will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical services and estimating functions across multiple mining projects.
  • Drive operational excellence through innovative mine modelling and productivity initiatives.
  • Mentor and coach technical teams to build capability and deliver value.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop commercially sound and technically robust solutions.
  • Review feasibility studies, optimise schedules and designs, and review operational risk.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a contract mining environment.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a track record of developing successful initiatives.
  • Well-developed technical and operational mining skills.
  • Strategic and lateral thinking capabilities.
  • Broad management skills, including business development.
