Job Title: Mining Operations Manager

The role of a Mining Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of mining fleet. This position involves real-time monitoring of fleet performance and facilitating the adoption of new system features and processes.

In collaboration with the Supervisor and other teams, this role focuses on improving control room operations, refining processes, and enhancing communication between control, operations, and support teams.

This position ensures that control room practices align with goals for operational excellence, safety, and innovation. By leveraging advanced technologies and maintaining high productivity, the Mining Operations Manager contributes to sustainable, autonomous mining practices.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and control fleet operations in real-time to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Assist in transitioning from the existing Fleet Management system to the in-house developed Fortex FMS system, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
  • Implement and adhere to new processes, workflows, and standards aligned with the Fortex system.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance control room efficiency, focusing on shifting from active control intervention to automated decision-making.
