Civil Design Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Specialist to join our Urban Development team in Brisbane. This role offers the chance to work on diverse, high-impact projects and contribute your expertise in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality civil design solutions across a range of projects, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and Australian Standards.
  • Contribute to project development activities, including budget preparation and fee proposal preparation.
  • Undertake detailed civil design tasks, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities, utilizing specialized software such as AutoCAD and 12D.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, landscape architects, and other engineers at project meetings, promoting effective communication and project success.
  • Support project management activities, including scheduling, reporting, and QA processes.
  • Assist with business development initiatives, including bid proposals and marketing strategies.
  • Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes and delivery, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with NER/RPEQ accreditation.
  • 3+ years' experience in civil design for land development, brownfield projects, or similar environments.
  • Solid technical expertise in civil design, including knowledge of water environments, water resource management, and relevant regulations.
  • Familiarity with civil design software, including AutoCAD, 12D, Drains, and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience in QA processes, design reviews, and collaborative project management.
