Job Title: Animal Care Specialist
Job Description:Our team is seeking an experienced Animal Care Specialist to join our crew. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our research animals.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality care to maintain animals in a healthy state, including feeding, watering, and cage cleaning.
- Monitor animal health and welfare.
- Check for pregnancy and litters born.
- Prepare mice for transport to facilities across Australia.
- Set up breeding pairs under the guidance of senior staff.
- Collect samples for genotyping and health monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records using our online Animal Management System.
As an Animal Care Specialist, you will work closely with our senior staff to ensure that all animals receive the best possible care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of animal care activities.
