We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Director to join our team.
- To provide effective medical care in a complex clinical environment.
- Manage the admission, management and discharge planning of patients seen in or admitted to their Unit within the Local Health District, ensuring all plans are documented in the medical record.
- The day-to-day assessment and management of patients in their Unit, communicating with them and their family about their condition and its treatment.
- Communicating and coordinating care with their team, arranging consultation with other staff when necessary, then arranging discharge and liaising with local medical officers and community-based care modalities.
- All decisions concerning the patient(s) will be made in consultation with their immediate supervisor.
This position includes rotations through various specialties at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
