The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at AIA Hong Kong. As a Senior Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing risk to ensure the financial security of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite assessments within personal authority levels
  • Maintain individual service level, productivity, and quality targets
  • Approve referrals within authority levels
  • Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with advisers
  • Promote and drive a culture of extracting quality information from advisers, clients, or any third party via tele-collection of information
  • Strategically develop Underwriting practices and processes, reduce requirement requests (e.g. PMAR) and cancellations rates, and meet end-to-end cycle time targets and tele-underwriting excellence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with reinsurers to gain industry knowledge on best practice underwriting capabilities

Requirements:

  • Extensive Life Insurance Underwriting Experience
  • Able to demonstrate standard processes in Underwriting
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound medical and financial knowledge
  • Sound Customer Service Skills
