We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our dynamic team at Insurance Investment Solutions. As a Senior Underwriter, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of underwriters, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, and providing guidance and mentorship to your team.

You will work closely with our Chief Technical Officer and National Underwriting Manager on developing and delivering new products, and will be responsible for analysing and assessing risks, ensuring accurate underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of underwriters
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to your team
  • Analyse and assess risks, ensuring accurate underwriting decisions
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations and best practices
  • Implement and improve underwriting processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in underwriting with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in Property / ISR underwriting is essential
  • Strong knowledge of insurance policies, underwriting guidelines and risk assessment
  • Confidence in working closely with our Lloyd's binder partners
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills
