We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Program Support Officer to lead a robust program management office. This role will be based at Carseldine with flexible working arrangements.

In this pivotal role, you will ensure robust program governance, assurance, and quality requirements are met while overseeing program status through accurate reporting and effective management of controls, including risks and issues. You will also lead a small team of project support officers, ensuring consistency and excellence in support functions across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance Support: Provide secretariat services to the Program Board, including coordination of papers, presentations, agendas, minutes, actions, and decisions.
  • Assurance Reviews: Facilitate gated assurance reviews and health checks across the program and projects.
  • Reporting Processes: Lead and maintain program and project reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Monitor and manage the program Risks, Issues, Actions, Decisions, and Lessons Learned register. Facilitate regular reviews, maintain templates, and guide teams in ensuring data quality.
  • Information Management: Develop and maintain information management processes and program-level artefacts.
  • Template Maintenance: Ensure program and project management templates align with corporate standards. Provide advice and guidance on their use.
  • Guidelines & Coaching: Support the development of guidelines and coach program and project team members on support processes to enhance adherence and uptake.
  • Support Activities: Ensure continuity of program and project support by allocating work across the support team in collaboration with the Program management team.
  • Documentation: Assist in preparing a range of documents, including business cases, briefing papers, variations, presentations, and program reports.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required.

You Will Have:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Program Officer/PMO Analyst role within a delivery-focused ICT Program Management Office, supporting multi-year programs.
  • Team Management: Proven experience in managing teams within an ICT program or large project environment.
  • Certifications: Foundation level PRINCE2 certification and practical experience in ICT projects.
  • Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of Managing Successful Programs (MSP) and applied experience in ICT programs.
  • Government Frameworks: Familiarity with Qld Government program and project assurance frameworks and experience in preparing programs and projects for reviews.
