About This Key Role
The Training and Instructional Systems Development Professional is a key expert responsible for delivering training services and instructional systems development across defence programs in Australia.
This position shapes, delivers, and evolves CAE's training solutions, aligning with operational readiness and national capability objectives. The professional leads a multi-disciplinary team of instructional designers, courseware developers, ground-based training instructors, and training analysts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, innovation, review, and refinement of training content and delivery.
- Develop workforce plans and strategies.
- Deliver professional development and training for new products, processes, and applications.
- Support bids and proposals as an SME for similar capabilities.
- Act as an Accountable Manager for training operations.
Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary degree in ISD/Learning Design, training, and development or similar/equivalent.
- Proven experience in leading teams in defence-related instructional design and courseware development.
- Technical background in end-to-end training and courseware development.
- Strong leadership and management experience.
Work Arrangements
- Home-based work from Brisbane, QLD, with some national and international travel required.
