Our organisation is seeking a Safety Culture Leader to join its Service Stream team based in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have the ability to drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, codes of practice, and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001.
The successful applicant will play a key role in implementing and managing HSE accountabilities across the works and services of South East QLD Utilities Maintenance Contract. They will be responsible for partnering with delivery teams to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with Service Stream HSE requirements.
The ideal candidate will have exposure to electrical work experience and/or mechanical and control systems experience. Candidates lacking these elements will be supported and developed on their safety career journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice, support, and leadership to delivery teams to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with Service Stream HSE requirements.
- Leading by example and modelling the Service Stream Safety Value and expected safety behaviours.
- Involving others in consultation, communication, and collaboration processes to encourage people to report and discuss HSE matters.
- Demonstrating care and commitment through maintaining a high field-based presence verifying safety processes and controls.
- Implementing the Service Stream Group HSE Framework and aligning project specific HSE documentation, materials, and resources to comply with the Framework.
- Investigating incidents to identify learning opportunities and corrective actions.
About you:
- A highly desirable candidate will have an electrical trade and a genuine interest in safety.
- Desirable skills include working knowledge of legislation, standards, codes of practice, and ISO Standards 45001, 14001, 9001; and experience in a similar HSE leadership role.
