Accounts Payable Financial Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Financial Specialist to join our Sydney CBD office on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role involves processing expenses and disbursements into the firm's financial system with precision, ensuring compliance with ATO regulations. You will work in a hybrid environment, combining office collaboration with flexibility to work from home part of the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate data entry of invoices in a timely manner.
- Processing daily and weekly payment runs to domestic and international suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external requirements through thorough invoice processing.
- Taking initiative in investigating and resolving queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Effective communication to share knowledge with team members, ensuring accurate and consistent processing according to internal procedures.
Requirements:
- Intermediate level skills with Excel; experience with sorting, filtering, VLOOKUPs, and Pivot tables.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain Accounts Payable concepts.
- At least 2 years' experience processing invoices with quick and accurate data entry.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload, adapting to problems and roadblocks.
- Experience providing excellent customer service, considering the entire process.
- Strong problem-solving ability and investigation skills.
About the Role:
The Accounts Payable Financial Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes. As a key member of our Business Finance team, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our accounts payable function.
