AOD Service Manager Leadership Role

At The Salvation Army, we are seeking a skilled AOD Service Manager to lead our Brisbane-based services. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Red Hill, QLD.
The successful candidate will oversee an 80-bed residential drug and alcohol facility with a 13-bed withdrawal management unit onsite and pre- and post-treatment support options.
This role will have circa six direct reports and a staff team of approximately thirty FTEs. The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field and extensive management experience.
We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including a salary range of $105,000 - $130,000 per annum, NFP salary packaging, flexible working conditions, health, fitness, and financial discounts/benefits, paid parental leave, up to eight weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme, and five days paid leave per year to volunteer in a TSA program or activity.
About the Role
- Oversight of practice and service delivery
- Establishing program-specific systems and processes for service delivery and regular review
- Managing services in accordance with funding body or contractual requirements and guidelines and service standards
- Developing and managing program budgets and finances
- Managing risk in service delivery and operational aspects of the program, including building and assets
- Providing line management and supervision of staff

- Strategically develop and manage client-centred service delivery, operations, and staff to ensure an inclusive workplace is provided in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Oversee the delivery of state agendas and operational/local plans aligned to national agendas.
- Deliver quality service delivery and ensure participants receive timely services, case management, education, support, assessment, and referral within a client-focused recovery framework.
- Manage risk and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
You Will Have:
Key Qualifications:
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field.
- Extensive management experience in social and community services programs, including AOD services.
- Ability to lead and support staff and services undergoing change.
- Active membership in community or sector bodies within the AOD sector.
