Job Description

We are seeking experienced medical officers to join our dynamic team in Anaesthesia Central Coast. As a Career Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing safe anesthesia care for patients undergoing upper and lower GI Endoscopy in the Endoscopy suite at Gosford and/or Wyong Hospitals.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 postgraduate years as a medical officer in an Australian hospital setting and practiced Anaesthesia in an Australian Hospital for a minimum of 2 years out of the past 3 years.

You will work alongside a team of over 70 consultants, 36 FTE Trainees, and 8 Residents in a supportive and challenging environment.

Our department is accredited as an ANZCA Scheme training site and has good exam results at Primary and Part 2 level.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent registration category with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Completion of a minimum of 5 postgraduate years as a medical officer in an Australian hospital setting.
  • Practiced Anaesthesia in an Australian Hospital for a minimum of 2 years out of the past 3 years.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching and clinical practice improvement.
  • Ability to perform clinical anaesthesia duties with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, computer skills, and continuing professional development.
