Medical Officer - Psychiatry Career

We are seeking suitably trained and experienced medical officers to join our community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in a multidisciplinary team setting, ensuring effective patient management and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical skills, strong judgment, commitment to quality and safety, and risk management expertise.
  • Work independently with good time management, problem-solving skills, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Mbbs or equivalent degree, registered or eligible with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Australian & New Zealand Graduates/Competent Authority Pathway: 2+ years postgraduate experience as a medical officer in an acute hospital; recent clinical practice preferred.
  • Standard Pathway: 2+ years postgraduate experience, with at least 12 months in an Australian hospital, including 6 months in Psychiatry.
  • Current Australian driver's license.
What We Offer

We provide accredited RANZCP Advanced Trainee rotational positions across our health district for trainees at any stage of training. International Medical Graduates are also eligible to apply. A comprehensive training program is offered, covering adult psychiatry in hospital and community settings, Consultation Liaison psychiatry, Child and Adolescent psychiatry, Old Age psychiatry, Addiction, Rehabilitation, Psychotherapy, Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, and Aboriginal services.
