Job Description

As a key member of the Expeditors team, the District Pricing and Logistics Manager will play a vital role in developing and maintaining a "best in class" pricing strategy. This will involve leading the branch in creating consistent pricing models to ensure success in spot quotes and ongoing quotation requests from new and existing customers, RFQ bids, and governance of timely rate card completion. This position will also oversee centralized rate management and a centralized way of performing all pricing requests, ensuring speed and accuracy in quote responses while maintaining consistent profitability and growth of operating income.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain pricing strategies to ensure success in spot quotes and ongoing quotation requests.
  • Oversee the creation and timely completion of branch customer rate cards and costings, including adding markup and ensuring all applicable charges are included.
  • Lead branch communications, responding to emails and requests in a timely manner, and follow up with Teams or phone calls if necessary.
  • Improve speed of spot quote turnaround and work with Branch Product and Sales and Account Management to identify and close key targets.
  • Utilize analytical data to review pricing effectiveness and performance, conducting reviews with product leaders and relevant teams to improve performance.
