Role Overview

Maintenance Officer - A Key Role in Ensuring a Safe and Welcoming Environment for Residents, Staff, and Visitors.

This is a full-time role based in the Newcastle & Hunter region, involving maintenance of buildings, property, plant, and equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and organisational requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with empathy and respect.
  • Support safe and high-quality services through proactive property and asset management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role is highly regarded.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety and building-related legislation is essential.
  • Trade background is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good computer literacy and organisational skills are necessary.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence is required.
