Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Allocator to join our Merchandise Planning team based at our support office in Melbourne.

As an Allocator, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective distribution of inventory to deliver successful outcomes across our stores. This role requires a fine balancing act to carefully allocate inventory to maximise return on investment within the controls of store layout, warehousing, and logistics.

  • Establish and maintain store stock accurately
  • Profile stores to optimise allocations based on sales, size, gridding, and demographics
  • Establish initial store allocations for new ranges ensuring that in-store dates are achieved and distributions are generated efficiently
  • Review and analyse weekly sales information to identify and address changes if required
  • Manage the stock distribution process
  • Process markdowns, promotions, and consolidations and communicate these to stores
  • Support the Merchandise Planning Team as required
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the allocation of inventory to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements
  • Collaborate with Planners and Visual Merchandisers to achieve successful store outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in retail, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent numerical skills and analytical mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
