Maintenance Technician Role

The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring seamless facility operations, providing expert technical support to drive production success. As a hands-on problem-solver with excellent communication skills, you'll thrive in this dynamic environment where every day presents new challenges.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine checks and complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
  • Respond promptly to day-to-day maintenance issues, working efficiently to resolve problems effectively.
  • Support space requirements and configurations for diverse production needs, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
  • Record accurate records of maintenance activities, including tasks completed, time spent, parts used, and current condition.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in coordinating subcontractor activities across the site.
  • Maximise facility use and minimise downtime, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Champion sustainable practices, aligning with industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
Key Requirements:
  • A trade or technical qualification, such as HVAC, Electrical, or similar.
  • At least 3 years' experience in facility or property maintenance, with a mix of planned, preventative, and reactive work.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A WHS qualification or willingness to obtain one.
