As Deputy Principal, you will be responsible for leading the following activities:

  • Assisting the Principal to lead the school community to develop a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputising for the Principal when required.
  • Upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Participating in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Forming partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
  • Being futures-oriented and strategic.
  • Understanding legislation and policies that impact schooling.
  • Managing resources to achieve goals.

  • Representing the school at various levels, including with parents and the wider community.
  • Liaising with government agencies, community groups and industry partners to foster strong relationships.
  • Developing and managing budgets to achieve optimal resource allocation.
