About the Role
The successful candidate will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following:
- Assist the Principal in developing, articulating and committing to a shared educational vision focused on delivering quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Lead and manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources underpinning inclusion and support services at the school.
- Display high-quality leadership that directly influences staff and student engagement, improvement, achievement and wellbeing.
- Uphold the Deputy Principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents and other relevant stakeholders.
- Be futures-oriented and strategic.
- Understand legislation and policies impacting schooling.
- Demonstrate operational effectiveness within the school.
- Develop relationships between staff, students and parents to support student engagement and promote positive learning outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will need to empower every student to experience academic success through inclusive practices that enable access, participation, purposeful engagement and yearly growth in learning. You will also be required to develop the capability of teachers and leaders within the school community, focusing on being collaborative and strategic.
