A Prudential Supervisor is responsible for identifying and investigating prudential risks and issues in the Life and Private Health Insurance Division.
This division oversees the prudential supervision of life insurers, private health insurers, and superannuation fund trustees in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess the quality of supervised organisations' management strategies, practices, and systems;
- Analyse preliminary data to identify potential problems and share findings with senior supervisors;
- Support engagements with supervised organisations by preparing agendas, briefings, and participating in entity visits;
- Adjust supervision style and process according to organisation needs;
- Develop financial and non-financial analysis skills to support high-quality risk assessment.
- Natural inquisitiveness with strong analytical, investigative, and research skills;
- Excellent organisational, self-management, and priority management skills;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Industry knowledge and a desire to learn;
- Able to stay updated on financial market trends;
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
