**Operations Specialist Role Overview**

As an **Operations Specialist**, you will deliver technical expertise for IP-based communication system infrastructure. Ensure service level and operational key performance measures are met, and provide technical guidance to team members.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Offer engineering and upgrade support for main systems and sub-systems on radio, microwave, or data networks
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for NOCC staff or Field Engineers when necessary
  • Create and review problem management, knowledge management, and test procedures for system stability
  • Develop and audit as-built documentation, updating it as required for accuracy
  • Participate in standby roster, 24x7 on-call operation
  • Support IP network devices remotely and onsite
  • Perform upgrades on network devices (remote/onsite) and assist with network designs

**Required Expertise and Qualifications:**

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electronics / Computer Systems Engineering or similar (extensive industry experience considered)
  • Experience with Juniper Networks devices (JNCIA)
  • 3+ years in an Engineering or equivalent role implementation and/or support of sophisticated radio communications networks or systems
  • ITIL certificate of proficiency
  • Experience with administration configuration, fault finding, and maintenance of networks, servers, workstations, and applications
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server experience
