Job Title: Scientific Support Professional

Job Overview:

As a highly skilled scientific support professional, you will provide high-level assistance to teachers and students in our Science laboratories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with the preparation of materials for Science experiments
  • Ensure safety practices in Science laboratories are adhered to, including knowledge of relevant legislation, guidelines and procedures
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to management as required
  • Support the delivery of professional support services, impacting beyond the work area or professional field

Requirements:

  • Capacity to provide high-level support to teachers and students
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, guidelines and procedures relevant to safety practices in Science laboratories
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position
  • Capacity to provide advice and support to management
  • Commitment to professional learning and growth
