**Job Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in a key role that focuses on environmental planning and management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing environmental constraints and requirements, providing timely and relevant advice to support project design, scoping, and delivery.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Identifying key environmental, planning, and heritage constraints and approvals to facilitate project design, scoping, and successful delivery
  • Supporting the business to identify, manage, and acquit statutory environment, quality, and transport (SEQT) requirements
  • Contributing to an inclusive, effective, and safe working environment by taking responsibility for decisions and behaviours, and their consequences
  • Developing and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate placement of network assets, in consideration of objectives

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental science, urban and regional planning, or a related discipline
  • Prior years of experience in environmental, heritage, and statutory planning approvals
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and mitigate safety, health, and environment risks in design and asset management activities
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Proven ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders in relation to safety, health, and environment outcomes
