About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Future Drought Fund Programs.

The successful candidate will play a strategic leadership role within our team, contributing to the development and implementation of policies, agreements and programs to support primary producers and communities in recovery from and build resilience to adverse events.

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the development, implementation and delivery of the Future Drought Fund Programs, which include the Farm Business Resilience and the Regional Drought Resilience Planning Programs.

The Farm Business Resilience Program assists farmers in building knowledge and skills in strategic farm business management and planning, farm risk management and decision making, natural resource management, and personal and social resilience.

The Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program supports partnerships of local government, regional development, natural resources organisations and other regional stakeholders to develop regional drought resilience plans and provides funding to implement actions identified to assist communities prepare for and manage future drought and climate risks.

This role requires strong relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, and regional communities to ensure the programs are responsive, collaborative, and impactful.

Through effective leadership and coordination, the Program Manager ensures the Future Drought Fund Programs contribute meaningfully to long term resilience and sustainability in the face of climate variability and drought.
