Style a successful career as a Design Assistant/Junior Designer with our dynamic team.

We are seeking an experienced candidate to join us in this role. The position reports directly into the Men's Senior Designer and is part of our talented Design team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specific design briefs by researching, preparing boards, and arranging samples.
  • Design on-brand print artwork and adapt original artwork as needed using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Re-color, re-scale, and amend prints in Photoshop/Illustrator.
  • Follow up internally and externally to ensure critical path deadlines are met.
  • Support designers and the creative director in preparation for design meetings.
  • Prepare spec packs for suppliers and liaise with key contacts.
  • Provide administrative support to designers, including general housekeeping, filing, and maintaining the fabric library.
  • Compile and manage Style/Fabric Trackers monthly.

Sourcing/Researching:

  • Work with designers to produce detailed design packs for suppliers.
  • Maintain range boards and follow up to ensure first sample schedules are up-to-date.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure accurate first samples and meet deadlines.
  • Track first samples and prepare for product sign-offs.
  • Order and track fabric sampling and invoices with designers and the creative director.
  • Manage the fabric/trim library and all samples.
  • Assist in approving lab dips and send relevant information to buying and suppliers.
  • Liaise with mills and agents to source sample items required by designers and the creative director.

Required Attributes:

- Bachelor's degree in fashion design or related field.

- 2-4 years' experience in a similar fashion design business.

- Portfolio aligned to brand identity.

- Tech-savviness.

- Familiarity with AP21/PLM is advantageous.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

- Genuine interest in trends and fashion brands.

- Experience creating print repeats and sending artwork to factories.

- Ability to compile CAD line-sheets.
