Junior Fashion Designer Position

We are seeking a talented and creative Junior Fashion Designer to join our design team.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of garment construction, fitting experience, and excellent Adobe skills.

This role involves trend research, design concepts, creation of mood-boards and lookbooks, sketching/CAD in Illustrator, coordination and creation of new styles, fabrics, and trims, sample room management, and support for the retail team with initiatives such as Style Files.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Junior/Assistant Designer
  • Tertiary studies in Fashion Design or related field
  • Solid understanding of garment construction & fitting experience
  • Ability to sketch/CAD
  • Strong understanding of the fashion industry
  • Advanced Adobe skills
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Strong illustration skills highly regarded

Key Responsibilities

  • Trend research and design concepts across all categories
  • Creation of mood-boards & lookbooks
  • Sketching / CADS in Illustrator
  • Coordinate and create new styles, fabrics & trims
  • Be involved in fit meetings alongside our Designers and Garment Technicians
  • Sample room management
  • Support the retail team with initiatives such as Style Files

About the Role

This is a full-time Associate position in Design and Art/Creative for the Retail Apparel and Fashion industry.
