About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications and Marketing Specialist to join our team at Southern Cross Care Queensland. As a key member of our marketing and communications team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to support our organization's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Plans: Create and execute communication plans to support staff through transitions and ensure seamless information flow.
  • Launch New Communications Channels: Design and launch a new internal communications channel and intranet to improve information flow and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Teams: Work closely with our marketing and communications teams to ensure alignment with overall strategies and goals.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, residents, and external partners.
  • Develop Marketing Materials: Create, review, and edit marketing and communications materials, including newsletters, brochures, and digital content.
  • Review and Update Websites: Ensure our external website is user-friendly, engaging, and aligned with our branding and messaging.
  • Support Social Media: Assist in content creation, scheduling posts, and monitoring engagement on our social media accounts.
  • Plan and Coordinate Events: Help plan and coordinate events, such as town halls, resident meetings, and anniversary celebrations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations: Or relevant experience deemed equivalent.
  • Proven Experience in Marketing or Communications: 5+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role, with a focus on rebranding and change management.
  • Industry Experience: Exposure to the aged care, human services, or not-for-profit industry is desirable.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage time effectively, coordinating multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong Writing Skills: Ability to produce high-quality, tailored communications for a range of stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Digital Communications Skills: Proficiency in digital communications tools and platforms, including WordPress, MailChimp, and SharePoint.
