**Job Title:** Medical Laboratory Specialist
**Job Summary:
- We are seeking a skilled and experienced medical laboratory specialist to join our team at Liverpool Hospital.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality laboratory services in the Histology section of the Anatomical Pathology Department.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining/special staining, frozen sections/renal bx, endoscopy transfers, and potentially non-complex cut up and backfill coverage of IHC.
- Ability to work in a rotating roster 24/7 as well as an on-call roster with other scientific and technical staff.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes set to meet client expectations.
- Customer-focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and patients as well as clinical laboratory staff.
