About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Architect to join our team at Atlassian. As a key member of our Trust Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Architecture: Design and deploy secure and highly available cloud infrastructure platforms to support Atlassian's security tools and services.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party cybersecurity vendors to ensure they meet our security goals and objectives.
  • Infrastructure Management: Manage non-production and production environments, including monitoring, data collection, and configuration management, as well as disaster recovery planning and capacity engineering.
  • Incident Response: Respond to internal support requests, pages, and alerts to investigate issues in our services and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in paid 24x7 on-call rotation to support our platforms and ensure business continuity.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to accomplish Trust and Security initiatives and objectives through the deployment of custom and third-party tools.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Systems Administration with hands-on experience administering and managing *nix systems, 1+ year of administering Jira Software or Jira Service Management, and 1+ year of experience building, automating, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in AWS using EC2, RDS/Aurora, IAM, S3, VPC or other cloud providers' equivalent services.
  • Skills: Knowledge of how to deploy and manage Infrastructure as Code on AWS, experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Packer), and experience managing 3rd party software systems that require vendor engagement.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with administration of Jira Assets and Analytics, hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator, experience building automation and reusable golden configuration/builds/images other teams can benefit from, and experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing.
