Job Title: Industry Engagement Specialist

The role of an Industry Engagement Specialist is a key component in our company's strategy to promote apprenticeships and career pathways.

This position involves coordinating operational outcomes, particularly in the area of apprenticeship attraction, preparation, placement, and retention. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and deliver results.

  1. Utilise your professional network to promote an industry, generate leads, match apprentices to employers, and provide mentoring support where needed.
  2. Complete a high level of administration/coordination while maintaining a database regarding all contacts and communication.
  3. Maintain relationships with secondary school career teachers, Registered Training Organisations, Job Networks, and government agencies.
  4. Assist with engagement with industry stakeholders, such as manufacturers, government entities, and training providers.
  5. Maintain and update job vacancies, expanding the company's reach to new employers in the field.
  6. Provide guidance and support to apprentices, assisting them with career guidance and mentorship.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database platforms.
  • Strong networking and stakeholder management skills.
  • A highly motivated attitude and drive to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Strong communication and time management abilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously, use initiative, and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of the construction/trades and VET industry would be desirable.
  • A current driver's license.

This is a full-time permanent role working with a close-knit collaborative team in a supportive and collaborative work environment.
