Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Job Description:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the physical abilities and challenges of neurodiverse children.
  • Develop tailored exercise plans based on assessment findings, incorporating principles of Primitive Reflex Theory.
  • Implement and monitor exercise programs, adjusting as needed to ensure progress and safety.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Educate parents and caregivers on exercise techniques and strategies to support their children's progress outside of sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field is required.
  • Certification as an Exercise Physiologist is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse populations, especially children, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • A compassionate and patient-centered approach to care is essential.
  • The ability to adapt and modify exercise programs based on individual needs and abilities is critical.
