Exercise Physiologist Specialist

Job Overview:

This position offers the opportunity to deliver exercise interventions that enhance health and wellbeing in a dynamic team environment.

As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, you will work with clients across a range of Chronic Disease, NDIS, injury and surgical rehabilitation, as well as healthy population groups.

Key Accountabilities include provision of exercise intervention and education for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injury.

Additional responsibilities include providing clinical exercise prescription for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.

You will also provide health education, advice, and support to enhance health and wellbeing.

Furthermore, you will develop and promote Exercise Physiology within the Centre and wider community.

Lastly, you will facilitate group-oriented rehabilitation classes including Hydrotherapy and the Life Program.

The successful applicant must have or be eligible as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia.

Requirements:
  • Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia.
  • Provision of exercise intervention and education for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injury.
  • Provision of clinical exercise prescription for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.
  • Health education, advice, and support to enhance health and wellbeing.
  • Development and promotion of Exercise Physiology within the Centre and wider community.
  • Liaising with other medical professionals involved in patients' rehabilitation.
