About This Role

The role of an Early Intervention Support Professional focuses on enabling a safe and sustainable return to work for injured workers. This involves providing guidance and assistance to employers, helping them set up claims and prepare workers for successful return.

This customer-facing position requires interaction with various stakeholders via phone, travel to employer sites, and participation in site claims reviews. The role involves identifying claims that may benefit from early return-to-work assistance, contacting employers to determine engagement levels and barriers to RTW, educating them on meeting RTW obligations, and engaging further services as needed. Additionally, the role includes referring claims to occupational rehabilitation providers and ensuring others in the business have the necessary resources and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify claims that may require early RTW intervention
  • Contact employers to assess their level of engagement and identify barriers to RTW
  • Educate employers on meeting their RTW obligations and engage additional support as required
  • Refer claims to occupational rehabilitation providers and mobile case management teams
  • Ensure colleagues have access to necessary resources and training

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in claims or case management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Workers' Compensation industry practices, business requirements, and administrative procedures
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex claims and understanding claim indicators
  • An understanding of injury types and likely RTW outcomes
