Aboriginal Client Care Professional

Role Summary:
This is a permanent part-time position that requires high-quality support and services to clients at the Kirketon Road Centre and associated sites.
The role involves providing counselling, case management, social welfare, and therapeutic support in a client-centred manner. The successful candidate will build trusting relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families where needed, and collaborate with sexual health services as required.
The team provides an opportunity to work independently while exercising professional judgement. A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or counselling is essential, along with a current NSW driver's licence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality support and services to clients
- Exercise independent professional judgement
- Build strong relationships with clients and their families
- Collaborate with sexual health services
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Essential Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or counselling
- Current NSW driver's licence
- Demonstrated understanding of issues experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Extensive experience in providing support services
- Able to provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate services
