Risk & Compliance Role Overview

As a risk and compliance professional, you will play a vital part in building a robust risk culture within an Australian Fintech firm. Your primary goal will be to develop and execute assurance plans that ensure effective processes and controls align with organisational policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of a risk and compliance control framework
  • Action outcomes from audit activities, working with stakeholders to close out findings and remediation
  • Prepare risk/controls assessments, maintaining standard audits, assurance, and reviews
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design risk mitigation strategies and report on assurance outcomes
  • Review and maintain existing policies and procedures
  • Assist in refining enterprise risk frameworks and practices across the business
  • Other risk and compliance tasks including analysis of risk events and fraud investigations; development of risk and compliance workshops and training;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years' experience in risk management, compliance, or risk assurance roles
  • Understanding of compliance or information security risk frameworks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle changing priorities
  • Flexible and comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001 would be advantageous
