Electrical Project Engineering Lead

As a seasoned electrical project engineering leader, you will oversee a team of experienced engineers responsible for delivering industrial food processing projects from sales handover to installation and commissioning.

This leadership role involves:

  • Providing technical guidance to the electrical project engineering team to ensure successful delivery of complex projects.
  • Managing the entire electrical project lifecycle, including design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning, to meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of equipment and meeting project milestones.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the project engineering team.
Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the planning and conduct of engineering activities to achieve project goals.
  • Ensuring that required engineering products and activities are produced in accordance with approved procedures and meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, fabrication, logistics, and commissioning teams to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Identifying potential issues and developing mitigation plans to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • RPEQ and CPEng certifications.
  • At least 5 years' experience in leading electrical engineering teams, delivering solutions in control systems and automated equipment design.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering standards and excellent communication skills.
