System Security Professional

As a System Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and security of an organization's systems.

Reporting directly to the Information Systems Security Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support in developing and implementing operational information systems security policies, procedures, and guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and hold certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or MCSA. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a current ISSO role with IA Certifications may suffice for degree.

Key responsibilities include conducting periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with security authorization packages, coordinating changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware, monitoring system recovery processes, and attending required technical and security training.

Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and assisting in implementing countermeasures for identified cyber security vulnerabilities, preparing reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems, and ensuring compliance with site environmental health and safety requirements.

Qualifications include a strong understanding of databases, spreadsheets, and technical report writing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to brief at all levels.
