Customer Relations Specialist

Take the next step in your career and become a key member of our Personal Injury Team. As a Customer Relations Specialist, you will play a vital role in conducting independent internal reviews of adverse claims decisions and resolving escalated complaints for personal injury claimants fairly, timely, and cost-effectively, meeting all regulatory standards and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake internal reviews of adverse claim decisions, ensuring outcomes align with regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Deliver responses to escalated complaints, adhering to regulatory standards and legislative requirements.
  • Assist with incoming call complaints to address customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support the work of the Leader and Senior Customer Relations Specialists to lead, manage, and deliver operational requirements of the team.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide technical support, advice, and training to colleagues.
  • Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of data, records, and information relevant to internal reviews and escalated complaints.
  • Maintain Privacy standards and requirements to minimize the risk of exposure of claimants' personal and health information.
Requirements:
  • Insurance Claims experience, with a strong understanding of the NSW Worker Compensation framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation to deliver soundly based decisions within statutory timeframes.
  • Strong technical skills in an insurance setting, with a preference for workers compensation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and hit the ground running.
  • Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
