The role of Finance Director is a pivotal position within the Senior Management Team, accountable for providing strategic leadership to the Finance Department and contributing to the company's success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Director will develop and implement financial strategies and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • This individual will provide expert insight and informed decision-making capabilities, driving commercial acumen for the company and its related entities.
  • They must possess in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, and associated practices.
  • Strategic planning, organisational governance, and risk management expertise are essential requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial, enabling informed decisions to drive effective organisational performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, accounting, management accounting, statutory, taxation, and audit compliance.

Additionally, they should possess strong business acumen and commercial thinking, with the ability to link high-level strategy to operational outcomes.

Experience in supporting change and developing people and teams to improve capability is highly desirable.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in the civil construction, infrastructure, or similar industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, including at director level.

The position is ideally based in Gladstone, working closely with the team in the Head Office. However, we are also open to engaging candidates based in the Brisbane area.
