The provision of child protection services is a critical component of our social responsibility. As a Child Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people.

You will work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver front-line support and advocacy for those who require protection and care.

A key aspect of this role involves providing case management and casework services to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong ability to build professional relationships with children, parents, guardians, colleagues, stakeholders, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality child protection services, including assessment, intervention, and case management
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated child protection practices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices

Requirements:

  • Australian Driver's License (Open or P2)
  • The right to work in Australia as a citizen, resident, or visa holder
  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Behavioural Science, or related field
