Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Midwife to join our team as a Midwifery Education Coordinator in a high acuity setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating clinical support and education for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as facilitating the induction of new staff.
You will work closely with the MUM and Clinical Development Coordinator to develop and implement education programs that promote high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care.
In this role, you will also be required to take on a leadership role in providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching to Birth Unit team members, graduate midwives, and students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Registered Midwife with AHPRA registration
- Minimum 8 years of midwifery experience, with at least 5 years in a high acuity setting
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) or working towards completion
- Experience teaching and supervising students and novice midwives
- Strong preceptorship and mentoring skills
- Demonstrated innovation in education program design and delivery using evidence-based practices
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated quality improvement activities and policy review/development skills
- Intermediate computer skills
