Healthscope is seeking a highly experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Midwifery Clinical Educator. This challenging position requires exceptional leadership skills, strong educational expertise and a deep understanding of midwifery best practices.

The successful candidate will lead education initiatives within the Birth Unit team, supporting the development of graduate midwives and students. As a key member of the Norwest Education Team, this individual will contribute to hospital-wide education programs and quality improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include orientating new staff, completing inductions, and providing hands-on educational support. The ideal candidate will also have experience teaching and supervising students and novice midwives, as well as promoting evidence-based practice throughout the unit.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants must possess:

  • Registered Midwife AHPRA registration
  • Minimum 8 years' midwifery experience, with at least 5 years in a Birth Unit setting
  • Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) or working towards completion
  • Strong preceptorship and mentoring skills

A Masters in Maternal Health/Education would be highly desirable. Successful candidates can expect a salary range of approximately $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on their level of experience.
