Seeking a Front Desk Officer to deliver exceptional guest experiences and exceed their expectations. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the PositionThis position involves anticipating and meeting the needs and desires of hotel guests, ensuring that their room requirements are fulfilled, maintaining the established high standard of service, and adhering to the policies and procedures of the hotel. Key responsibilities include:
- Anticipating and attending to guest's needs and desires immediately
- Offering a warm and friendly greeting to hotel guests as they enter and depart from the Hotel
- Checking guests in and out with efficiency and friendliness and in accordance with the established Hotel procedural guidelines
- Processing daily guest transactions and accounts accurately and efficiently
- Working with the Housekeeping, Reservations, and Maintenance departments to ensure that the Hotel's rooms are properly prepared for arriving guests
- Communicating any guest special request to the appropriate department(s) and following up to make certain the request has been fulfilled in accordance with the guest's wishes
- Promptly actioning all guest messages and facsimiles
- Communicating any pertinent guest comments, particularly guest complaints, to the Hotel management
- Being fully conversant with regard to all information on the area as a destination, the services available at and through the hotel, any special events taking place in the area
- Having a full working knowledge of all current room rates and packages available at the Hotel
- Booking, updating, amending, and filing all reservations accurately and in a timely manner
- Participating in all rostered theoretical and on-the-job training sessions
- Complying with all of the hotel's operational policies & procedures
- Maintaining a clean & safe working environment
- Having a full knowledge of, and practicing all of the hotel's established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S)
- Adhering to all established cashiering policies and procedures
- Ensuring the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
- Completing all assigned opening and closing duties
- Giving assistance to the telephonists and back office personnel when required
- Attending all scheduled meetings
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. A full driver's license is necessary for this position.
