Senior Transmission Network Manager

We're seeking a strategic leader to oversee the planning, monitoring, and operations of Victoria's future electricity transmission network.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the timely identification and mitigation of operational risks as new assets are integrated into the transmission network.
Key Responsibilities- Provide oversight and facilitate the assessment of power system and operational readiness for new and modified network augmentations, including Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and interconnectors.
- Oversee planning and review of control schemes associated with network updates.
- Manage receipt and distribution of recommendations for creation or modification of control schemes to maintain and enhance network performance.
- Extensive experience in power system operations or transmission network planning, with strong understanding of operational readiness, system security, and technical integration of new assets.
- High-level knowledge of National Electricity Market (NEM), including application of NER/NEL, and mechanisms for system strength, inertia, ancillary services, and control schemes.
