Shape the Future of Energy Transmission

We are seeking a seasoned engineer to lead our Transmission Network Development & Planning team. The ideal candidate will drive strategic and technical initiatives to deliver a safe, resilient, and customer-centric transmission system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Expert Guidance and Collaboration

Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on Victorian transmission projects and Renewable Energy Zone development, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs.

Influencing Transmission Policy

Influence transmission policy and actively contribute to forums, working groups, and regulatory consultations to shape the future of energy transmission in Victoria.

Technical Planning and Leadership

Lead technical planning to manage impacts of inverter-based resources and large emerging loads (e.g. data centres), enhancing system capacity and security for a renewable, coal-free future.

Actionable Insights and Regulatory Support

Translate complex power system and market modelling into actionable engineering insights and support regulatory investment testing (RIT-Ts).

Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement

Support the strategic planning of major transmission station rebuilds and champion continuous improvement in joint planning processes with AEMO, VicGrid, distribution businesses, and internal teams to deliver integrated, whole-of-system outcomes.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Victoria's Transmission network. As a seasoned engineer with a strong understanding of economic evaluation methods for network constraints, investment options, and system risk, you will drive long-term planning and investment decisions.
